Where we work

We’re located at a former woolworks right on the Yarra River in Abbotsford.

The Alma Wool Scouring Works include two wool scouring factories and an associated dwelling of brick and bluestone which were erected in 1861.

The Alma complex has architectural and historical significance at the state level. It is the largest and most intact group of fellmongery structures remaining from the foundation years of Melbourne’s industrial development.

Fellmongery and wool scouring were amongst the colony’s first industries and the Yarra bank between Collingwood and Richmond became the centre of the industry from the mid 1850s.
