​CFA is a volunteer and community-based fire and emergency services organisation. Their vision is to work together with communities to keep Victorians safe from fire and other emergencies.
Challenge The Challenge

Country Fire Authority (CFA) approached Webplace for assistance in developing its original news pages which were out of date, did not reflect the brand and had very low traffic.

CFA required a site that engaged their key audiences and volunteers, as well as providing vital information to the general public. The site also needed to integrate with social media channels and required authentication for volunteers.

Opportunity The Solution

​Webplace worked with CFA to plan, design, build and deploy a responsive and engaging news website, allowing users to localise their news and interact with CFA via social media.

The site now services 58,000 members with an average of 110,000 visits per month. Since making the site responsive CFA have had mobile traffic increase from 30% to 45%.

Improvements in the mobile usability of the website has helped CFA meet growing community and CFA member demand for mobile compatibility.
