The Trojan brand is sold nationally at Bunnings, Mitre 10 and True value hardware and is owned by AMES the leading manufacturer of hand-powered landscaping tools in the world. From its founding in a blacksmith shop in 1774, AMES has grown into a global family of brands marketed through major retailers in the U.S., Canada and Australasia.
Challenge The Challenge

AMES required an individual web presence for six brands to help promote their product ranges and provide educational material for customers. Webplace was approached to develop websites for each brand that were super easy to manage, looked great, and showcased all of their products in a clear and concise manner.

The project budget would not allow each website to be approached and produced in a bespoke manner.

The Result

We worked closely with the team at AMES to ensure that we understood all aspects of their company before we commenced the project. From here we undertook stakeholder workshops to understand what the key objectives were for the business as well as their key users. This information was critical in setting the direction for the design elements as well as the technical scoping.

Working closely with AMES in a collaborative manner to produce our designs ensured that there were no surprises when the designs were presented and accepted. We also worked in an agile manner throughout the development process to ensure their was a constant feedback loop with the client and that key pages and functions throughout the site were presented early for feedback and refinement.

The result was a WordPress website that is fully managed by the client and showcases all of the products in an easy to view product catalogue. Users are also able to compare products and share with friends.
