A responsive and adaptable partnership
OverviewThe Western Distributor Authority (WDA) is an Administrative Office within the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR) who in partnership with Transurban promise to deliver three interrelated projects that will streamline traffic from Geelong to Pakenham.
Webplace were approached by WDA with requirements for a new website to communicate news and information about the upcoming Westgate Tunnel Project. The timeline was incredible tight to tie in with scheduled announcements.
Webplace proposed a staged approach to release key deliverables as soon as possible and ensuring the website was live by the agreed timeline. To achieve this we recommended the use of the WordPress content management system which allowed us to get a fully functioning system running in a short time.
We undertook stakeholder engagement exercises to understand from the business as well as its users what the purpose and the success criteria for the website were. This information was then crucial in the development of our solution design, wireframes and digital design of the look and feel of the website. Throughout the entire process we ensured that everything we did aligned with the business and user needs identified earlier. The final stage of the project was to develop the website theme and build the necessary functionality.
The site was launched on time and budget. Webplace has continued to support the website post implementation through new design and functionality updates as well as ensuring the website is up-to-date with latest security patches.
