Interaction Design

Designing experiences that empower people and organisations

Designing experiences that empower people and organisations

Building interaction design with your organisation helps to discover and validate key priority content and areas of importance. Most importantly, this phase seeks to develop key pathways to content using clear way-finding, contextual placement of call-to-actions, and related relevant content.

The interaction design is a co-design process completed over a number of iterations to ensure the final outcome is meeting the needs of both your organisation and its users.

Simplifying user journeys to encourage and support the discovery of complex content structures is key to a successful website outcome and provides the crucial architecture to the interface design and build

Starting with a clear understanding of organisational drivers and user needs gives your team — and ours — a shared direction for a successful user experience using your digital asset.

Our interaction design process

  • Discovery & stakeholder workshops

We engage with your subject matter experts and stakeholders to uncover business goals, user needs, and technical considerations before design begins.

  • User journey mapping

We map key user paths and journeys to ensure we are contextually surfacing the right information and call-to-actions at the right time.

  • Wireframing & solution-design prototypes

We produce a series of wireframes and interactive prototypes over a defined number of iterations that represent the desired user journeys and business objectives, content types, page attributes and interactions.

  • Solution design & interaction design

Our Interaction design phase runs concurrent to the Solution Design phase to ensure that all functions are captured in both the interaction design and the solution design.

What we deliver

Interaction design

A series of annotated wireframes and user flows that represent the desired user journeys, content and call to actions

Online review and remedy

All wireframes are designed as online interactive prototypes, allowing your team to review, comment and respond online through a series of iterations, ensuring a simple method for stakeholder review and feedback.

Component interaction specs

Detailed behaviours for components (states, motion, focus order, keyboard interactions) ensure that you know exactly how your users will interact with the final product

Frequently Asked Questions

What tools do you use?

Figma for design & prototyping, plus Mural/FigJam for workshops.

How many iteration rounds are included?

Typically two rounds per key template/flow. We can agree extra rounds up-front for complex projects.

How long does interaction design take?

Commonly 3–5 weeks for a standard site; larger products can extend based on scope and stakeholder availability.

Can workshops be remote or on-site?

Both. We tailor sessions to your teams and provide agendas, artefacts and clear outcomes.

How do you ensure accessibility?

WCAG 2.2 AA behaviours are specified (focus order, roles, keyboard support, contrast) and validated during testing.
