Discover the steps we follow to ensure that every project we deliver is a success
Following a well-defined and proven process is the most effective way to ensure your website is a success. In our experience, projects succeed when the goals are well defined and everyone involved in the project is aligned with these goals.
Regular communication and feedback early and often also helps to keep the project on track and avoids any nasty surprises at the end of the project.
Understanding your business
First, we seek to understand your business and its users. This can be achieved through a number of methods including but not limited to phone calls / video conference, meetings and strategy sessions. By understanding your business and its goals, we can craft a solution that will meet these needs.
Once we have understood the project and its goals, we produce a solution design. This is a document that covers a number of important aspects of the project including;
– Content types
– Content mapping to Information Architecture (IA)
– The Content Management System to be used (CMS)
– Functional requirements
– Accessibility and standards requirements
– Test cases for testing look and feel and functionality
UX Prototype / Wireframe
Once we have a clear idea as to the type of content and functionality we work closely with you to produce wireframes of the key pages.
The wireframes are not purposely not styled. They are produced to allow you to explore the various page templates and layout to ensure we are in alignment prior to design commencement.
We work with you to understand your content requirements. We work closely with a number of excellent copywriters who can help produce winning content if your team does not have capacity.
Here we utilise the great work already completed within the UX Wireframing phase and bring the designs to lift. We will produce design mockups for the key pages using Sketch and will cater for Mobile, Tablet and Desktop devices. We use Invision to share designs and collaborate with you on any feedback.
This is where the website starts taking shape. We will set up the Content Management System, develop the website theme based on the approved designs and develop any functionality required on the website.
We like to work in an agile fashion and provide you with releases early to seek feedback. Our team follow a rigorous test plan that covers design, function, security, performance, SEO and finally accessibility standards before we release the final product for review.
Whilst the website is produced we will migrate completed content and map to the website Information Architecture.
Training & User Guide
Our team will provide training in-person or via video conference to ensure your team is comfortable with managing your website. We will also produce a user guide that will cover all of the key tasks your team will perform whilst maintaining the website.
Go Live & Ongoing support and maintenance
Once the website is live, we will provide on-going support, maintenance and optimisation to ensure your website is achieving its goals.
